Find the Setup.EXE and run it in Windows 7 Compatibility mode. Comes in a zip file so unzip it into a folderĥ. Find Easy Settings (software) (ver.1.2.0.23) and download.Ĥ. Go to Manuals & Downloads, then to Software.ģ. Download the Samsung Easy Setting software to help you better control Touch, Power Management, Wireless, Display, Background, and Screen Saver. Well I am in Windows 8 Consumer Preview, so this is the following way to turn off.ġ.

I finally found that there is a Samsung utility called Easy Settings that allows you control a bunch of settings including this auto brightness. It really got annoying, so I wanted to disable it, but I could not figure it out. My right hand would always cover it or just go over the sensor causing the screen brightness to adjust. This is a real problem when I am holding it because I am left handed so my right hand holds the slate near the brightness sensor (1/3 of the way down the right side of the slate in the black/bezel area). I use a different wacom sceen with it a alot of the time though and it has a totally different set of wacom drivers, so I had to remove the preference panel of the tablet one but both drivers are present. One of the things that I noticed right away with the Samsung Series 7 Slate was the auto brightness constantly changing the brightness on the Slate. But painter by its nature tries to have custom brush calibration controls which may be the odd feature that breaks it. When I use it with a program like painter, it doesn't work at all, no touch interaction in that program. I will check out your video however, I did grab the zip and was going to see if the brightness kext works with my setup too.Īs far as the touch base the price was the same, I got it with wacom access and without, when Im using a painting program like PhotoshopCC it works pretty well, I usually turn off multitouch and have it only as mouse style as far as palm rejection, Im not noticing it, but I can usually keep my hand off the art area.

having bluetooth wifi and the pen actually work even with the sleep cycling so I didnt ever futz around with pushing limits on the brightness and wacom sleep. Im using the original post DSDT since I was pisspoor at generating a working one of my own.
